Flight Safety Program Goes to School

The Flight Safety Program Goes to School (ASV-Mirim) is a special program that BHS maintains in partnership with Infraero from Macae since 2005. The goal of this program is to educate children that live close to the airport area about the hazards of flight safety and how they can help minimize the risks of the air operations.

The program is managed by BHS’s Safety Flight Department and it takes place at schools that are located close to the airports. It includes seminars about environment, recycling, waste disposal and the dangers of flying kites and balloons close to the airports. Over 1000 kids have participated in this program during the last 5 years.

The Flight Safety Program not only educates the children about accident prevention but it also shows them a new carrier path.
